New Marketing Skills- Crowd Funding for A Cause
The past year I’ve stepped into new roles in non-profit marketing for THREE wonderful organizations. By far the most challenging and strategic, because of all the moving parts, is crowd-funding. Raising donations with a strong donor database with a record of giving is one thing, but creating and managing campaigns to raise tens of thousands of dollars for organizations without that history is quite another. In October I was challenged to help United Indians of All Tribes Foundation create an integrated end of year campaign that includes emails, board led donations and an Indiegogo campaign. We launched the Indiegogo campaign tonight in anticipation of #Givingtuesday. Take a look… and I’ll talk more about what it takes when the smoke clears in January.
